Happy New Year

Well another year is over.  It has been an eventful & busy one for us, with the wedding and Brad (& Rob) taking over the garage.

We had a small party to see in the New Year, just 5 of us for dinner (Myself, Brad, Ali, Mouldy & Steve) with Trudi joining us later.

There was much food and drink consumed (judging by the recycling box).  The girls won at Trival Pursuit (again!) and there were a few drinking games, of which I have some photos.  Which may get posted here, (I am open to bribes to delete them).

Christmas Tree Hunting

Posted by Eloise on 18 Dec 2006 | Tagged as: Uncategorized

This weekend we partipated in a Cole family tradition - Christmas Tree Hunting.  This does not involve a trip down B&Q.  We all (this year 17 of us and 2 dogs) met early on Sunday morning at Fountain Forestry in Brockley Coombe, to track down the perfect Christmas tree and chop it down.  The weather was clear, but a little cold out of the sun.

Trudi bagged the first tree of the day and Kia cut it down (with a little help).

We were next, but ours was already dead and only needed a little prunning.

Jay and Alan were after the rarer tree - the needlefast varity.  There were only available pre-cut.

Alan, Anna & Morgan chose a good specimen but Jay didn’t find one that suited.

Hen Weekend

Posted by Eloise on 18 Sep 2006 | Tagged as: Uncategorized

The girls Just a little bit about my hen weekend.

I want to thank Rachel for hosting it at her flat and the organising, and Ali, Tracey, Liz & Trudi for coming.

It meant a lot to me that you were all there.

We arrived on Friday night, after too many hours in traffic (Thank you to Trudi for driving down from Bristol).

Chocolate Making I’m not going to go into detail into what we got up to, but I will say that we went to a chocolate making lesson in London on the Saturday afternoon. We all had a great time, making, eating chocolate and making a mess.

Dinner @ The Loop In the evening we went out for a meal and some dancing at the Loop in London (once we had found it, the Taxi driver really didn’t have a clue)

I had a great time, even though I was coming down with a cold.

Thanks again to the girls for a fabulous weekend.

I may post some photos

Summer’s Evening & Shakespeare

Posted by Eloise on 12 Jun 2006 | Tagged as: Uncategorized

Berkeley CastleThis was our third outing to Shakespeare this year.  This time a Midsummer’s Night Dream performed in the gardens of Berkeley Castle.

So Brad, myself, Ali, Liz & Mouldy, packed up a picnic and a couple of bottles of wine and headed to Gloucestershire on Sunday Evening.  The weather was perfect, we sat in the last of the evening’s sunshine eating our picnic and waiting for the performance to begin.
