Friday Food:Sweets

There has been a request for a new feature on the website; food.

As I haven’t got time to prepare an entry this week, I though I would post something about sweets.  Not just any sweets but old fashioned or retro sweets, those sweets you used to buy with your pocket money.  Blackjacks, rhubarb & custard, cola cubes, drumsticks, fried eggs etc…

There are now quite a few websites that sell retro sweets, even sites like firebox are now selling boxes.

Keep it sweet

Not sure if any of these sites are good for the waistline!!

What is Facebook?

Posted by Eloise on 05 Jul 2007 | Tagged as: General

Facebook is a social networking site.  It allows you to create an electronic group of friends.

Users create a profile. They then populate with their interests, activities, geographical location, schools, jobs etc.  They can also upload their photos and videos. People that are not currently in your friends list can only see basic information about you, unlike sites like Friends Reunited.

The network is created when you invite people to be your friend.  Facebook, as with most social networking sites requires both parties to confirm that they are friends.  Once someone is your “friend” they can then view your profile that you created on-line.  You can put as much or as little information in as you want.

Once you have created your profile, you can then invite people to be your friend, join groups, networks or discussions which interest you and make new contacts.

Facebook can be used to create a basic webpage to keep in touch with your friends, share interests, photos, files and events.

Monday Jokes

Due to a dry spell of jokes arriving in my inbox, I am stopping the Monday Joke feature.  If you would like me to resurrect it then, please send me more jokes.

You can do this on my normal email address, by using the contact form on this site, or by leaving a comment in this post.
