A couple of weeks ago I went to one of the wilderness lectures. After a complete nightmare parking and finding the chemistry department at Bristol University, we sat down to what we thought was going to be a lecture by Ben Saunders and his expedition to the South Pole, however he hasn’t made the trip yet. Our trip wasn’t wasted as he told us about his solo expendition to the North Pole, (he is the youngest person to have skied there).
