A couple of months ago we went to an Indian restaurant with a bit of a difference. Ganesha claim to serve authentic southern Indian food rather than the standard Anglo-Indian food that you find in most Indian restaurants. I haven’t been to India so I can tell if it is true or not, however I can say that there was none of the standard food on the menu.
Ganesha is Bedminster and has only been open a few months. We found the food to be good and excellent value. I would definitely recommend it, the restaurant is only small, so I would suggest booking. However they also do a take-away service.

I took a lot of photos over the weekend, and I have been looking for a way to get the orginal files to everybody, so they can keep, print, look etc at them.
I didn’t want to email them, as even the zip file would be quite big. I didn’t want to have to send lots of emails with a couple of photos on each, as it will still fill everyone’s mailbox up.
One thought was to use a ftp site, but I haven’t set one up before.
There are now plenty of file sharing/transferring options available on the web. I tried several different ones. The best one for me (for free) was Filemail. com. It allows you to upload up to 2 GB at a time, you can email directly from the site (the recipients receive and email with a link to the website), there is a maximum download limit of 20 times, and the maximum life of the downloads is 7 days.

Think you are having a bad day?
A man was working on his motorcycle on the patio, his wife nearby in the kitchen. While racing the engine, the motorcycle accidentally slipped into gear. The man, still holding onto the handlebars, was dragged along as it burst through the glass patio doors.
His wife, hearing the crash, ran in the room to find her husband cut and bleeding, the motorcycle, and the shattered patio door. She called for an ambulance and, because the house sat on a fairly large hill, went down the several flights of stairs to meet the paramedics and escort them to her husband.
While the attendants were loading her husband, the wife managed to right the motorcycle and push it outside. She also quickly blotted up the spilled gasoline with some paper towels and tossed them into the toilet.

This is a bit of a different Friday Food as I haven’t really got a recipe for this. I’m planning on cooking this over the weekend, so I will find out if this version works.
It is an adaptation of a Rick Stein recipe off one of his TV shows, so no accurate quantities.
Vegetarian leek cannelloni
For the tomato sauce:
Heat some olive oil in a pan; add a finely chopped onion, fry until it softens and starts to brown, add the garlic, then add 2 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar and a teaspoon of sugar. Once this has dissolved add a can of chopped tomatoes. Simmer gently until reduced right down. Season with salt and pepper to taste, you may have to add more sugar. Place tomato sauce in bottom of baking dish.
