Christmas decorations - too early?

Posted by Eloise on 22 Nov 2006 | Tagged as: General

One of our neighbours go to town every year with the Christmas decorations on his house.

This year he started putting the decorations up at the begining of November!  It does normally take him a month to put them up as he only does it on the weekends, so fair enough.

I’m sure he doesn’t normally turn them on till the 1st December, but the lights were turned on last night!

Why is it that every year Christmas decorations are getting earlier and earlier.  I was in John Lewis just before we got married and they were putting up the decorations.

I can safely say that we won’t be putting up our tree till 17th December, as that’s when we are going Christmas tree hunting.

Chocolate making

Chocolates It’s that time of year again, Christmas is approaching fast, so this weekend I started to make my traditional Christmas chocolates.  This year, thanks to my chocolate making lesson on my hen weekend, the chocolates are looking a little more professional and I have some new recipes.

I am still taking requests, if you have any favourites from last year, but you need to be quick.

Website make over

Now we are married there is very little point of having a wedding website.

I still plan to continue to make entries, but I would like some feedback on what you would like to see on here.

So let me know either by sending me an email, making a comment (either here or on the guestbook) or anonymously by using the Vote on the sidebar.

Twickenham

Sunday I went to my first international rugby match at Twickenham; England v New Zealand.

Unfortuately England didn’t win, but we both had a good time.

After the match there was “music & firework extravaganza” to celebrate the opening of the south stand and bonfire night. This was 2 songs from Girls Aloud (badly mimmed according to Rachel), 1 from G4 and 30 seconds of fireworks. Managed to get an okay photo of the fireworks, Brad missed it as he had gone for food and beer.
