Bank Holiday Weekend

The weather stayed mostly dry this weekend, which was quite amazing considering it always seem to rain on a bank holiday.
We worked hard this weekend on the house. We have nearly finished redecorating the lounge diner. We would have finished but we ran out of paint on Sunday because one of the walls needed an extra coat. I did attempt to go to B&Q yesterday morning, but there was about a 2 mile queue, so turned round and came back. I knew it was a bad idea.
Friday we had a meal at Brad’s Mum & Dad’s, my Mum and Dad were there as well. It was a really lovely meal, we didn’t get home till 1.30am.
Saturday, I spent most of the day painting the skirting boards, while Brad went out on a all dayer for Mouldy’s 30th Birthday. They did then lenght of the Gloucester Road, and then went for a curry. Liz, Ali and myself joined them later on for a couple of pubs and then for the curry. I will create a separate post for this with photos.
Sunday afternoon we went up to Leigh Woods with the dog. We spent a couple of hours up there, Brad’s friend Mark came with us as well. We went to a good viewpoint of the suspension bridge and then headed down the gorge and walked back along the cycle track by the river. I took my new camera bag. I can keep walking while I take out/put back my camera. Took a few shots of the bridge and of the dog. If they are any good I will post some here.
Anyway, Monday after the aborted B&Q trip, we attacked the front garden. It has now been cleared and leveled, ready for the slate chippings. Brad just needs to remove the concrete posts. It looks a lot better already and its just bare soil now.
Hopefully we will finish the diy soon, then we can go and buy a new sofa, saw a really nice one in DFS yesterday, shame it wasn’t in the sale!!
