So we had another go at finding me a wedding dress yesterday and seeing some bridesmaid dresses for Rachel.
We started off with the bridesmaid dress. We found a really lovely nearly fluoresent orange dress. Joking; but nearly all the dresses Rach tried on were lovely apart from the orange one. We narrowed it down to two. One is very similar to one of the dresses I have seen and the other is more ball gown with a bigger skirt. I think it will depend on what I go for. We have narrowed it down to two colours as well either a deep red or a gold. One of the colours was called banana, so Rach is telling everyone that I’m putting her in a banana dress.
Next stop was Debenhams. The dresses were very nice, but they really didn’t do much for me.
After lunch we were ready to go again….and headed off to Champagne Brides…only no champagne so that didn’t work…and the dresses started to get more expensive….!!!!

Today is the day of the big dress shop. Rachel, my mum and I had a shopping trip back in July. Potentially found a dress, but I wasn’t quite “Wow I have to have that one”. So Rachel is back in Bristol for us to have another go and also to find her a bridesmaid dress.
We are back again to Debenhams as they didn’t really have much left last July as they only bring out new stock in January. They also have some new styles out. We are going to try a couple of other shops in town.
Last time we went to Berketex Brides. The dresses were nice but were around the £1000 mark. I also felt that they were a bit pushy and intimidating. Considering that it was only the second shop I had been in, I felt they were pressuring me to make a decision and pay my deposit then and there. They were also, walk over there, walk back etc etc and they wouldn’t let us take photos. I must of tried on over 20 dresses that day how I’m I suppose to remember which one looked best?
In the afternoon we went to a lovely shop in Chipping Sodbury, Future Brides. They were really helpful and it was a more relaxed atmosphere. We must have been in there over 2 hours. Anyway that’s where I found my potential dress, and it was under £500.

The next step on the planning list is entertainment.
Music for before, during and after the ceremony. Music during the reception and finally the disco.
Brad is trying to sort out the disco at the moment, so hopefully some news soon.
Daytime entertainment will probably be provided by The Moon Loungers, (negociations pending).
Still discussing music for the first dance - should we go with a classic track or for something current? Please let me know what you think, post a comment.

We thought we were going to have a relaxing weekend, that was until Alan phoned us on Friday night. Wales has had a load of snow did we want to go snowboarding?
Well why not? So we set off bright and early towards West Wales. Got there about 12ish. Small trek up a hill, and time to play in the snow.
Brad managed to get air a couple of times, which was quiet impressive. Apart from the time he ended up eating snow.
The weather was bright and sunny, and really quite warm considering there was quiet a bit of snow around.
I think this will be the last snowboarding this year, but then again I thought that when we came back from Canada. You never know!!
