Now that my dress is sorted, the next event that needs planning is the hen night.
Rachel is doing the orgainising. I have been allowed input into where, when and some of the what. The rest remains a surprise. Please no drinking games and no Tequila!!!
The when I can tell you. It will be about a month before the wedding, the location is in the south. Nothing is booked yet so plans might change.
I will get Rach to update the site once things have been confirmed.

Hurray - I’ve got my wedding dress. Its not the one I went to buy this morning, but its still a Maggie Sottero dress!!!
Mum and I went out this morning with the sole intention of trying on one dress that I was then going to buy. The plan was to try the dress on in order to work out my size and then buy it on-line at about 40% off.
I tried on the dress, still liked it. It was the right size. Tried it on with a couple of veils and tiaras, so see what sort would go with the dress.
It was a that point that we deviated from the plan. Mum spotted the sale rack!!! They were end of line from the designers and only had the sizes on the rack.
The first one I tried was pure white and only a UK size 6! Amazingly it fitted! The second one was ivory and a UK size 8 that one also fitted. They both looked really good. However I think that the pure white was a bit stark in the daylight, so after 3 hours of thinking (or was that shopping) we went back for the ivory one.
I tried it on again and it won’t need any alteration as long as my shoes aren’t too flat. We were going to bring it home but at that point it started to rain, so we thought it better to leave it stored there for now.

I finally managed to get Brad to start organising his suit last week.
He had seen a waistcoat he liked in a magazine ages ago, which was red and gold, but he hadn’t seen one in any of the shops. I had to pester him to sort it out as I wanted to match the bridesmaid’s dress to the waistcoat and as us girls know there is more than one red.
We went for a fitting last night, at Future Brides in Chipping Sodbury, (just for the record I spotted the waistcoat when we were in there the other week). They have just started to do menswear, they haven’t even got their leaflets back from the printers yet.
There are still a few details to sort out such as tie vs cravat and the lenght of the jacket, but he has made a good start.

Just a little reminder that its Mother’s Day this Sunday, and not last Sunday, as Stuart thought after receiving an reminder email from Interflora. Last week was apparently European Mother’s Day. Mum was really pleased with her chocolates, flowers and her card last week. I just want to know what he’s sending this week!!
If you are going for lunch this Mother’s Day don’t forget that the clocks change so don’t be late.

Went shopping today for my wedding suit.
First shop, found what I liked, ordered it and then went to the pub for lunch.
Shopping isn’t that hard.

Saturday was another dress shopping day. Mum was back from her holiday so she came along too.
First we went to Chipping Sodbury to Future Brides, we couldn’t get an appointment but they were really nice and tried to squeeze me in so that I could try the dress on again, but no luck. I have booked an appointment for next saturday. Looked at some bridesmaids dresses for Rachel. Also saw that they did hire for grooms, and they had a waistcoat similar to the one Brad wants.
After lunch we went back to Just for you Bridal to try on the best ones from yesterday and a few others.
I’m now completely confused over which one I prefer. I think the problem is that I like all of them. I do think that it helps if you try on a dress that nearly fits, so some of the dresses I have liked is because they are a good fit and feel really good.
